This morning we got up and packed our bags and left for the safari at 730am. We went first to the booking office to pay the remainder of our balance and to pick up other people who would also be going on the safari with us. We were to be sharing a Land Rover with 3 people from Sweden, a father, mother, and daughter.
We drove for awhile, through Masai country, and finally arrived at this small village outside of Lake Manyara National Park. We dropped our bags off at this little guest house we were to be staying in that night and then left for the beginning of our safari in Lake Manyara. The park was ok, but a lot more crowded than our previous safari in Ruaha. In my opinion, Ruaha was much better than this park. We spent the entire afternoon there and at the end of the day went back into to village to our hostel. Justin and I ventured into the village on foot for a little while. We bought some Obama Kangas. We had a small gathering of locals around us, all fighting for a chance to talk to us.
They were telling us how they learned English and what they wanted to do and why they liked Obama! We realized we were running late for dinner back at our hostel so we started back.

Safari Number 2 : Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater
Yesterday we spent in the town of Arusha, walking around trying to find a safari that would take us to Ngorongoro Crater. It was quite a hassle, mainly because you couldn't walk 5 ft without someone running up to you and saying, come to my shop and we will give you a good price for safari! We finally settled on one, and it was like they knew because for the most part they quit bothering us!
